She also serves as Coordinator of Special Needs Services at the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville, Maryland. She is coeditor ofBRAKES: The Interactive Newsletter for Kids with ADD as well as coauthor of Putting on the Brakes and its companion "Putting on the Brakes" Activity Book.

    Uzi Ben-Ami, PhD, is an education consultant in private practice in Rockville, Maryland. He has served as chief psychologist and clinical director in two child guidance clinics. Dr. Ben-Ami has worked extensively with children, parents, and schools as a certified school psychologist and a child and family therapist.
