This book is the fruit of a love for Sartre that lasted more than twelve years, during which this French thinker lived within my breath; he was my sustenance and drink.

The Greek philosopher Heraclitus is considered one of the oldest philosophers. This book surveys the seminal works and ideas of key figures in the Ancient Greek philosophical tradition from the Presocratics to the Neoplatonists. It highlights their main philosophical concerns and the evolution in their thought from the sixth century BCE to the sixth century CE.
